A 9+ hour late southbound Cost Starlight speeds through Red Bluff, CA crossing Highway 36. The train hit a tree south of Dunsmuir and made a rare appearance on the Shasta Route in the daylight. Usually this train comes through around 2am. This train also is carrying 2 Cal Zepher cars on the rear. If you listen closely over the wind you can here to UP detector going off on the scanner. An early Christmas present to say the least....they don't call it the "Coast Starlate" for nothing!
