Resolved Question: Got a ticket going 100 in a 70. Tough situation please help.?

I got the ticket on i-5 in tehama county, california. I live in Austin, TX. I received the ticket in the mail. It says something about mandatory court appearance in that county, and i have to pay the ticket. Can I just mail them the money? I don't want to fly all the way out to california and then drive all the way to tehama county (like a 3 hour drive). the question was, do i need to go to court, or will i be okay just mailing in the money?...
