we have a "labor camp" across the street from us which I feel needs to be shut down. Workers are entering from the rear rather than the main gate & are crossing our property. They live there all year rather than the 16 days of harvest. A labor contractor owns the property . The shacks they live in are substandard & I believe the inspectors are not seeing the whole encampment because they can't "see" this area of it (or it is not being inspected at all !). The road in that they are using cuts across a ditch . There is no pipe under the road at that point nor is the encroachment to the county road paved like I had to do when I built my house. In the Winter the road is a muddy mess. They leave garbage, unwanted pets/animals behind. It was not disclosed to me when I bought the property (from the labor contractor) and until I saw the traffic during picking season I did not know it was there . Now that it seems to be used 365 days a year I am not happy. They are not legal. Their presence is not documented so neither are their vehicles. They face no consequences for their actions & if something bad happens they just run away into the orchards.
