Ok, so I am not from California, I went down on my motorcycle to visit a friend, and while I was down there I got caught speeding. I know I did wrong, bla bla bla, save the speech. In pierce county Washington, where I am from, I have a lawyer that I can call and pay a little more than the cost of the ticket, and it doesnt go on my record. This has in the past been worth it to me, because it keeps me at work. My Lawyer doesnt even require me to go to the court house. I deliver pizza for a living right now, and getting this on my record means I will loose my job. Worse than that, I am hoping to start driving long haul semi truck next year once I turn 21. I am very concerned that in addition to causing me to loose my job, this will jeopardize that also. My hearing is scheduled for November, and I ride a motorcycle. If I have to appear in court it would make my life easier if I dont have to fight snow, or pay for enough gas to drive the truck that whole way. Looks like I need to be in Tehama, California. Who do I talk to in order to see about moving the court date earlier before the snow hits? Can I hire a lawyer to get it off my record? If not, can I move the court date? What options do I have?
